RIGA - Foreign Minister Artis Pabriks said he supported the idea of reintroducing the possibility of a dual citizenship in Latvia.
Pabriks told BNS that amendments to the law should be considered in the near future. He emphasized that dual citizenship should be especially considered between Latvia and other EU member states.
The Latvian Special Minister for Society Integration, Oskars Kastens, last week re-started the dual citizenship debate by voicing his support for the concept. He said such a move would help strengthen Latvians' ties to their native country.
