VILNIUS - Heads of parliamentary committees in charge of foreign affairs of the Nordic and the Baltic states are meeting in Vilnius on today.
The meeting should address the European Neighborhood Policy, democratic processes in the European Union's (EU) Eastern neighbors and energy strategy of the Baltic Sea region.
The parliamentary chairmen should also sign a joint communique on the Nordic European gas pipeline on the bottom of the Baltic Sea and discuss the complex situation on the Lithuanian-Latvian border, the Lithuanian parliament's public relations division said.
The meeting of Nordic and Baltic foreign affairs committee heads is a traditional session held twice a year.
