RIGA - Latvian President Vaira Vike-Freiberga and British Prime Minister Tony Blair believe the EU must keep working on a common foreign and energy policy.
After a meeting between the two officials on Nov. 28, presidential spokeswoman Aiva Rozenberga told journalists that both leaders managed to exchange opinions on key NATO and EU issues.
The Latvian president and British prime minister reportedly said that a long-term energy policy was one of most topical EU issues, and that member states must work together to solve these issues.
Blair is among 25 heads of state and government attending the NATO Riga summit.
