TALLINN - The three men who crash-landed a small plane in the south of Estonia are in a stable condition and will return to Germany soon.
The men, an Austrian and two Germans, executed an emergency landing on Nov. 24. Their Piper aircraft was headed from Tartu to Dresden, but was forced to land shortly after taking off.
A search operation was launched after one of the men managed to walk back to the airfield and inform the authorities.
Rescue crews found the aircraft 500 meters from the end of the runway and freed the two remaining men from the mangled body of the plane.
An investigation is underway into the cause of the accident.
