Poland has recalled Ambassador Janusz Skolimowski from Vilnius, the Polish daily newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza reported.
An unnamed diplomat of the Polish Foreign Ministry said discussions were in progress on "how this should be done."
Skolimowski's friendship with Polish businessman Edward Mazur was the reason for the recall. Mazur was arrested in the U.S.A. and is awaiting extradition on suspicion of plotting to murder Polish police chief general Marek Papala.
