Four young people from Belarus Monday arrived in Estonia on Oct. 16, in order to continue their studies until the end of this year, the Open Republic youth society said. The students were expelled from Belarus universities and their further education will be supported by Estonia. Six Belarus students have already started studies at Tartu University in the framework of the same program. The Open Republic youth organization convinced the government to provide an additional round of scholarships for Belarus students, as Belarus universities expelled many students in the fall due to political reasons. During their first year in Estonia, Belarus students at Tartu University study Estonian. During the next year, they are allowed to enroll in programs of their specialties at an Estonian university of their choice.
