Lithuania, Estonia no longer World Bank borrowers

RIGA - Lithuania and Estonia exchanged letters to the World Bank in Singapore on Sept. 17, and officially graduated from the status of World Bank borrower, with Estonia promising to soon become a World Bank donor."With the successful implementation of Lithuania's economic agenda following independence in 1991, the country's GDP growth has averaged over 7.5 percent since 2001 's- an impressive track record," said Shigeo Katsu, World Bank vice president for Europe and Central Asia.
