Upcoming NATO summit in Riga requires additional resources

RIGA - Additional resources from the state budget will be required for organization of the upcoming NATO summit in Riga, said Latvian parliament defense and interior affairs commission chairman Juris Dalbins, adding that the government might discuss it during the upcoming sessions.
He also outlined that at present it was not possible to name exact figure, but during the preparation process for the summit, calculations change, thus additional money is necessary for equipment and other needs.
The commission also came to conclusion that organization works, which have to be done in short time and in close cooperation with foreign partners, are being implemented successfully.
However Dalbins has no doubts that all the requirements will be met
