Kremlin official: Estonia's Russian parties are hopeless

TALLINN - Modest Kolerov, adviser to Russian President Vladimir Putin, said Estonia's ethnic Russian political parties had no hope of success. He also expressed a personal convinction that Center Party leader Edgar Savisaar would become the country's next prime minister. "Contrary to Latvia, where there are problems with the recognition of the existence of another community in the society, ethnic parties can never achieve success in Lithuania and Estonia," Kolerov told the daily Postimees.
