VILNIUS - Visitors to this year's Vilnius Capital Days festival will be able to see British super star Elton John, a man climbing tall buildings dubbed "Spiderman," and Vilnius Mayor Arturas Zuokas performing as a model. Capital Days 2006 will be opened on Aug. 31 by "Spiderman" Alain Robert from France, who will climb the 148-meter skyscraper Europe without any support devices. Gediminas Avenue will host a ´Buzzing Avenue´ project. Participants in the festival on the main street of Vilnius will be able to see 16 art galleries, presentations of old crafts, and organ grinders from Germany. Zuokas, the mayor of Vilnius, will wear the national costume. One of the greatest events during the Capital Days will be a concert by Elton John at Vingis Park on Sept. 1. Various concerts, theatre and circus performances within the framework of Capital Days will last until Sept. 9.
