VILNIUS - Lithuanian Defense Minister Juozas Olekas will stand for Prime Minister Gediminas Kirkilas, who is going to be on the two-week vacation starting this Monday [Aug. 7].
However, most Lithuanian ministers - Finance Minister Zigmantas Balcytis, Social Security and Labor Minister Vilija Blinkeviciute, Transportation Minister Algirdas Butkevicius, Environment Minister Arunas Kundrotas, Education and Science Minister Roma Zakaitiene, Agriculture Minister Kazimira Prunskiene and Foreign Minister Petras Vaitiekunas - will also be away on Aug. 7-21, so no governmental meetings will be held during the period.
