TALLINN - Estonian President Arnold Ruutel, 78, last had a medical check-up at a Saaremaa sanatorium in July where the doctors didn't discover any problems with president's health.
Eero Raun, the president's spokesman, said nothing that could cause alarm was discovered at the sanatorium.
"The president sees a doctor twice a year on the average, but no regularity has been established in that respect," Raun told BNS.
It is not regulated by law in Estonia that the president must check his health condition after a certain interval. Raud said there was no fixed form according to which the president should check his health condition each time.
"The president knows what to check, he is an experienced person," Raun said.
