Outgoing science and education minister Remigijus Motuzas, who stated he would not seek the minister's post in the wake of a scandal over maturity exams, has been proposed to be appointed as ambassador to Sweden.
Edminas Bagdonas, ambassador for special assignments at the Foreign Ministry's Eastern Europe and Central Asia Department, who earlier worked as presidential foreign policy adviser and had been Lithuania's ambassador to Rome before that, has been proposed for the post of ambassador to Washington.
