VILNIUS - President Valdas Adamkus is to meet with nine candidates proposed for the future center-left minority government today.
Adamkus will meet with the candidate for environment minister, Social Democrat Arunas Kundrotas, the candidate for interior minister, Liberal Centrist Raimondas Sukys, the candidate for economy minister, Vytas Navickas of the National Farmers' Union, the candidate for culture minister, Liberal Centrist Jonas Jucas, the candidate for justice minister, Petras Baguska of the Civil Democracy party, the candidate for science and education minister, Social Democrat Roma Zakaitiene, the candidate for defense minister, Social Democrat Juozas Olekas, the candidate for communications minister, Social Democrat Algirdas Butkevicius, the candidate for health minister, Rimvydas Turcinskas of the Civil Democracy party.
Prime Minister-designate Gediminas Kirkilas presented his Cabinet to the president on July 11.
