Ruutel appoints four new ambassadors

TALLINN - President Arnold Ruutel today appointed four new ambassadors -- to Latvia, to the West-European Union and the European Union's Political and Security Committee, to Portugal and to Israel.
Ruutel appointed Jaak Joeruut as Estonia's Ambassador to Latvia with residence in Riga, and Sander Soone the Ambassador to the West-European Union and the EU Political and Security Commitee in Brussels.
He appointed Mart Tarmak Ambassador to Portugal with residence in Lisbon and Aino Leppik von Wiren Ambassador to Israel with residence in Tallinn.
Simultaneously, the president recalled the outgoing Ambassador to Latvia Toomas Lukk, the Ambassador to the West-European Union Tonis Idarand, the Ambassador to Portugal Aino Leppik von Wiren and the Ambassador to Irsrael Marina Kaljurand.
