Smoking on the rise in Lithuania

VILNIUS 's Lithuania has seen an increase in its number of smokers, with most smoking cigarettes, a TNS Gallup poll revealed.
According to the survey, some 40 percent of Lithuania's population smokes, a 37 percent increase from last year.
The vast majority - 97 percent - smoke on a daily basis. Some 96 percent of the nation's smokers prefer cigarettes, 2.8 percent smoke pipes and 1.5 percent prefer cigars.
