Mexican President might pay a visit to Latvia

RIGA 's Latvian President Vaira Vike-Freiberga in an interview to the Latvian public television said that Mexican President Vincente Fox might pay a visit to Latvia this summer before the G8 summit held in St.Petersburg, BNS reported.

"The Mexican president will probably make an official visit to Latvia before the G8 summit and then during his visit we will try to look for particular ways of cooperation," said Vike-Freiberga.
The president outlined that Latvia is interested in the Mexican investors to expand their operations in the country.

The G8 summit is scheduled for July 15-17 in the St. Petersburg (Russia), where the main topic for the summit will be energy security. The G8 countries are Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, the US and Russia, the current presidency.
