Representatives of Lithuania's Homeland Union have proposed the establishment of a Ministry of Family and Youth Affairs.
"A parliamentary task force is drafting a law on family bases and will shortly submit it for consideration," Social Security and Labor Secretary Degutiene was quoted by the Lietuvos Daily. "The law mentions the new ministry as well. The Homeland Union's election program envisions strengthening of family, tackling of the most complicated social problems."
