Today, Latvian National team plays its final and deciding game in the Group A preliminary round in Arena Riga against Slovenia.
In order to get into the qualifying round, Latvia needs at least a tie. If Latvia loses, it will have to play three games for the right to remain in the upper echelon.
Also in Group A today, the Czech Republic will face Finland, while in Group D - Norway will play against Denmark, but Canada against the United States.
