Czech PM to pay a one-day visit to Riga

Czech Prime Minister Jiri Paroubek will make a one-day working visit to Riga on Friday to meet with top Latvian state officials and to watch the Czech national team play their first game against Latvian team in the 2006 World Ice-hockey Championship.


According to Latvian government press service, Latvian President Vaira Vike-Freiberga will welcome Paroubek in her residence, the Riga Castle, and Latvian Prime Minister Aigars Kalvitis will host working dinner in honor of the Czech premier.

After dinner Paroubek will go to the newly built ice hall Arena Riga to attend the opening ceremony of 2006 World Ice-hockey Championship and watch the game between Latvian and Czech teams.
