Estonia named cultural capital for 2011

TALLINN 's Estonian Culture Ministry officials have designated Tallinn to become the European Capital of Culture in 2011.
Tallinn edged out three other Estonian cities 's Tartu, Parnu and Rakvere 's to earn the honor.
Finland will also have a similar cultural capital in five years, though the country has yet to name a town.
The European Capital of Culture is a city designated by the European Union for one year, during which it is given a chance to showcase its cultural life and development.
