VILNIUS 's Prime Minister Algirdas Brazauskas said that the government has not changed its offer price for a controlling stake in the Mazeikiu refinery during the current round of talks with Yukos, currently taking place in London.
"Our delegation return from London yesterday night. The set price, which I spoke of before, has remained unchanged and, yes, we have to initiate other moves," Brazauskas told the reporters after meeting with President Valdas Adamkus on Wednesday. He did not specify what moves government negotiators would take.
"It seems that we will have enough money," he added.
Previously the government has said it was willing to spend 3 billion litas (869 million euros) on buying the refinery back from Yukos, the besieged Russian oil company. Parliament has authorized the government to borrow this amount on international capital markets.
Yukos, meanwhile, is reportedly holding out for a higher price.
