TALLINN - Youth organizations of Estonia's parliamentary parties decided to stage a demonstration in front of the Belarusian consulate in Tallinn on March 19 in support of democracy in Belarus and to protest against the authoritarian regime of President Alexander Lukashenko.

The organizers of the protest are sure that the presidential elections in Belarus on March 16 will not be fair and free.

According to them, during the election campaign the principles of equal access to mass media and freedom of speech have been blatantly violated and force has been used against opponents of the regime, BNS reported.
The youth organizations of the Center, Reform, Pro Patria Union, Res Publica, Social Democratic and People's Union parties invite all supporters of democracy to join the rally.

"The Belarusian opposition is asking the whole world to help wake people up to the seriousness of the situation," representatives from Pro Patria Union told BNS. "The Estonian society, too, can show more loudly its negative attitude toward the present situation in Belarus and continue demanding an end to the 'dark age'," they added.
