VILNIUS 's Lithuanian Parliamentarians have pressured the government to quicken the process of curbing emigration.
"Seimas (Lithuania's parliament) should demand more specific instruments from the government - it should address issues regarding people who haven't left yet," MP Henrikas Zukauskas said.
Social Democrat Algirdas Paleckis added that the state should address issues of social well-being to stop emigration.
Parliament plans to host a conference on the issue, entitled "Emigration from Lithuania: Situation, Prospects and Possible Solutions" on Friday.
