The opposition Res Publica handed a document to Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip on March 14 demanding answers to questions about parliament's purchase of Eesti Raudtee (Estonian Railway).

Res Publica said the document asked "whether privatization of the railway was a mistake that, if possible, would have to be put right, or he has taken the view that capital has no nationality and there is no difference what country's company Eesti Raudtee belongs to."

"We are interested in the prime minister's view of who exactly defends Estonia's national interests and who poses a threat to them," said Henn Parn of Res Publica.
