VILNIUS - The largest book fair in the Baltics and one of the most outstanding cultural events in Lithuania Book Fair 2006 started today at Lithuanian Exhibition Center LITEXPO.
"One would hardly find another place bringing together so many famous and beginner Lithuanian writers and foreign guests, get an autograph of a favourite author and participate in the discussions and seminars, Inga Nostyte, director of the Lietuviskos Knygos (Books from Lithuania) told the Baltic News Service. "Vilnius Book Fair is ahead of book fairs in the other Baltic states in terms of numbers of visitors and participants," she added.
The fair will be held till Feb. 26.
