Survey: Border Guard most trusted institution

TALLINN 's The Border Guard is the most trusted of Estonia's institutions, a Faktum agency poll reported, and political parties are the least reliable. The survey, commissioned by the Defense Ministry, was completed in November.

The ratios of respondents trusting and not trusting the Border Guard were 81 percent and 10 percent respectively.

Eighty percent of residents trust the president, while 14 percent don't, the poll revealed. The Bank of Estonia is trusted by 79 percent and not trusted by 12 percent, while the legal chancellor enjoys the trust of 70 percent.
