A film is to be made about the man who killed John Lennon 25 years ago outside his Manhattan apartment. "Chapter 27" will tell the story of obsessed fan Mark Chapman in the days before he gunned down the former Beatle.
Jared Leto, who won acclaim for his role in "Requiem for a Dream," will play Chapman, while teen film star Lindsay Lohan will play a Lennon fan who befriends Chapman days before the murder. The film's title refers to the JD Salinger novel "Catcher in the Rye," which Chapman said was his inspiration for the murder. The film is scheduled for release next year.
