A Singapore-based company announced it would build a noodle factory in Estonia, the first of its kind in the region, in 2007. The Singapore-based Tolaram Group, which produces the Taste of Asia line of instant noodles, wants to grab a market share in the Nordic, French and British markets.
"The Estonian plant, using modern technology, will give work to approximately 30 people," board member Makarand Divekar was quoted as saying. The plant's capacity will be 80-100 million packages a year, he added.
