GOLDEN MASK
Tue 11 's Sun 16 - The Golden Mask is an annual Russian festival of performing arts established in 1994. This year, the show will be held in Estonia. The festival presents the best of Russia's drama, opera, ballet, operetta/musical, contemporary dance and puppetry. The best productions, directors, choreographers, conductors, stage designers and actors will be crowned with the Golden Mask award.

Tue 25 's 21:00 's Goran Bregovic and his Wedding and Funeral orchestra have made their way back to Riga. Bregovic's music marries the sound of gypsy brass with traditional Bulgarian polyphonies. As if that's not enough, a bedeviled string orchestra provides an eloquent background, along with the voices of male choir. If nothing else, his music will inspire you to dance.
