Kalvitis takes jab at Repse for business dealings

RIGA - Prime Minister Aigars Kalvitis struck out at Defense Minister Einars Repse on Wednesday, saying the latter was spending too much time involved in business.

Speaking on a morning TV program, the prime minister said that he, unlike Repse, who is a former prime minister, had no time for business. Still, Kalvitis admitted that everyone, including the defense minister, had the right to do business within the regulated limits.

He said he would not worry about Repse's business as long as it didn't interfere with his public office. "So far there's been no news that would give cause for concern," he said.

Recently Repse gave a motor yacht worth some 500,000 euros to his bride, law student Ruta Raginska, the Baltic News Service reported.
