Estonia extends offer of help to U.S.A.

TALLINN 's Estonia has offered the United States assistance in dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

The Foreign Ministry on Tuesday offered to send a 10-man rescue team to the damaged areas in the southern states to help the search for survivors, which according to reports, is continuing.

The ministry highlighted the team's skills. The team is led by an officer from the Rescue Board and has experts from several emergency rescue fields.

Prime Minister Andrus Ansip initially offered assistance to U.S. Ambassador Aldona Wos last Friday, the Baltic News Service reported.
