Court upholds e-voting amendments

TALLINN - The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld an amendment to the voting law that will allow voters to change their vote when casting their ballot electronically.

President Arnold Ruutel had refused to promulgate the amendment on the basis that it contradicted the Constitution.

The court, however, did not find that the amendment, which was passed by Parliament on June 28, was in contradiction with the country's basic law.
