RIGA - State secretary of the Latvian Interior Ministry, Juris Reksna, could step down from his post, the Latvian Independent Television reported on Aug. 30.
Reksna's decision ultimately depends on whether or not the government accepts a structural development plan for the Interior Ministry on Sept. 20.
Latvian Interior Minister Eriks Jekabsons said he did not object to the secretary's resignation.
During his interview with LNT, Reksna said, "if I manage to develop this plan completely, and they will say 'Reksna... well done,' then there might be some other thoughts. But I do not really believe in it."
