The Supreme Lithuanian Administrative Court has decided to hear a case in plenary session concerning a graduate of Vytautas Magnus University School of Law. The graduate was denied the right to be considered for a position as a judge on the grounds that she has no university or higher education. The graduate has a bachelor degree in English, an eight-semester, three-year master of law degree from VMU and a PhD in law that she did at another university.The lower court had disposed of the facts of the candidate's advanced legal studies by ignoring them.
