ESTONIAN YOUNG COMPOSERS FESTIVAL

June 15 's 19 The Festival has become an alternative outlet for younger professional and still studying composers in Estonia whose creative works with a number of premieres are performed by outstanding Estonian musical forces. Among the 2005 Festival performers will be the Estonian National Male Choir, electro-acoustic music ensemble Cyberstudio, Voces Musicales chamber choir, Hortus Musicus ensemble, and the Tartu St John's Church Chamber Choir. In addition to world music, the Festival will offer music by younger generation Estonian composers Tonu Korvits, Mart Siimer, Ulo Krigul, Tatyana Kozlova, Kristjan Korver and Monika Mattiesen. Every day of the festival will begin with a church tour; the Festival panorama will be beautified by Naatan Haamer's photo exhibition "Estonian Churches"

June 30 - Known for her gamine looks, sweet voice and appearances in many films, Jane Birkin was one of the iconic figures of the 1960s. At the end of this month, the star pays a visit to Riga where she will present her latest album "Rendez Vous". In this album Jane Birkin demonstrates once again her impeccable taste. While she may not have the greatest voice in the world, this collection of songs in French and English is refreshing, intriguing and classy. The concert will be held June 30 at 7.30 p.m. at the Latvian National Opera. Tickets: 7 's 70 lats (10-100 euros)

Sat 11 's 17:00 's The final part of the Miss Lithuanian Russian Competition 's 2005. Eighteen of the most beautiful girls from Vilnius, Kaunas, Siauliai, Elektrenai will meet on the stage of the Lithuanian Russian Drama Theatre to find out who is the most beautiful girl in Lithuania. Music and dance will be performed by Funky, "Kalinka" dance group, performers from "Arlekino" dance center and Show Theatre "Pop Off". Exclusive fashion studio "Aleksandrina" will also present its new collection "Sea Element" during the evening. Tickets: 20 's 50 litas (5.50 's 14.50 euros)
