OPERA MUSIC FESTIVAL
Thu 2 's Sun 5 's The International Opera Music Festival is a continuation of Parnu's dedication to celebrating 21st century opera. The Klaudia Taev International Competition for Young Singers, held for the fourth time this year, is the festival's main event. The contest engages a number of young opera singers and internationally acknowledged figures from across the world. The international-cast opera performance "Demon," by Anton Rubinstein, will be shown on June 3 at the Endla Theater. On top of this, a workshop focused on the interpretation of Mozart in opera will be open to visitors. The festival will end with an Opera Gala at the Parnu Concert Hall, where competition finalists will perform alongside the 21st Century Orchestra. For more information call: 5665 0660.
