Russia prepared to return Estonian presidential insignia

MOSCOW - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a meeting with his Estonian counterpart on Wednesday that a positive decision to return the Estonian president's chain of office has been made.

Lavrov said at the meeting with Foreign Minister Urmas Paet that Russia was at the moment specifying the domestic legal grounds for the return of the president's official insignia, spokespeople for the Estonian Foreign Ministry said.

The president's insignia was taken to Moscow after the 1940 Soviet takeover.
