RIGA - Riga City Executive Director Eriks Skapars granted local supporters of the Russian extremist National Bolshevik Party with permission to organize a picket against U.S. foreign policy during President George W. Bush's visit next week, said a city council spokesman.

Local National Bolshevik leader Rauls Reinaldo Sancess submitted the permit application on May 7. No more than 100 people will turn up for the protest, he said.

The group initially planned to picket at the Freedom Monument, located in the heart of downtown Riga. Yet due to security reasons, they have agreed to move the demonstration to the Grizinkalns area, a safe distance from the city center.
