STEEP STAIRS AHEAD: Lithuania will have to climb "a few steep stairs" before it can walk through NATO's famous open door, new NATO Secretary General George Robertson told the Lietuvos rytas newspaper. Robertson said the candidates need to understand that membership in the alliance "is not cheap and easy."
