Ignalina nuclear plant nearly ready to face Y2K

IGNALINA (BNS) - Programmers at the Ignalina nuclear plant have nearly completed implementation of a project which deals with the problem of computer software in the year 2000, referred to as the millennium problem or Y2K.Two out of the scheduled 12 points, involving general work, still have to be implemented. On Oct. 18 all new programs will be scanned and on Nov. 1 the results of the implemented project will be presented to the plant's management.
