Hollywood filmmakers will shoot a zombie B-movie set in Chernobyl, the site of the worst radioactive explosion in history.
The team behind the project, which was responsible for "Return of the Living Dead 4: Necropolis," has been granted permission to shoot just a few hundred yards from where the explosion took place in 1986. The film's director and line producer went on a field trip to the site of the disaster and reported seeing an 80 lb. catfish and a deer almost the size of an elephant, according to The Guardian newspaper.
The distributors of Nicole Kidman's new film - "Birth" - are playing down controversy ahead of its release later this year. Kidman's character is convinced that her husband has been reincarnated in the body of a 10-year-old boy. The controversy surrounds a bathtub scene between Kidman and the boy, played by Cameron Bright. Head of New Line Cinema Mark Ordesky said that the scene was intended to be provocative but not salacious.
