A new political party positioning itself as a pro-European liberal-centrist political force has been established in Latvia. A total of 298 people registered as members of the new party called Kustiba Par! (The Movement For!) and 274 voted in favor of establishment of the new party, while none voted against or abstained. The new party describes its key values as free individual, consolidated society, the rule-of-law country and unity in Europe. The Movement For! will seek to ensure equal opportunities for all people in Latvia as a modern European country governed by the rule-of-law.
