RIGA - A new nationwide advertising campaign, which will include various outdoor posters and broad media involvement, will kick off today to promote vaccination against Covid-19, Health Minister Daniels Pavluts (For Development/For) previously said.
"From July 12 we will continue with a new campaign, a new message and targets, and here one of our main objectives is to achieve maximum visibility," the minister said.
The campaign will include outdoor advertising of various formats in Riga, Daugavpils, Jelgava, Rezekne, Cesis, Liepaja, Sigulda, Tukums and Ventspils. Vaccine-promoting posters will be placed in all public municipal premises, on billboards and notice boards, in apartment houses' elevators and post offices.
Leaflets will be placed in locations of public gatherings and medical institutions.
Public service media, television channels of TV3 Group and several radio stations, as well as social networks and leading news web portals will also be involved in the advertising campaign.
Pavluts also informed about a vaccination lottery in which five vaccinated winners will be announced each week from each Latvia's region - Riga, Kurzeme, Latgale, Vidzeme and Zemgale. The draw of the main prize - EUR 100,000 - will be held in November.
As reported, ministries mostly support information campaigns to foster Covid-19 vaccination across Latvia, according to the ministries' proposals collated by the Health Ministry.
