New election threshold favoured

As the Seimas of Lithuania deliberates changes to the existing election thresholds for political and parties and their coalitions to get into the Seimas, President Gitanas Nauseda says he is in favour of 4 and 6 per cent thresholds. They were earlier backed by the parliamentary Committee on State Administration and Local Authorities but politicians from the ruling block want them reduced to 3 and 5 per cent respectively.
