A leadership change is taking place at the “Havas” agency group in Latvia — as of June 1, Mārtiņš Kairovs will take over as Country Manager, succeeding Ivo Rundans, who has held the position until now.

“We are excited to announce the appointment of a new leader to the “Havas” team. Mārtiņš brings extensive experience in digital communications, media planning strategy, and AI — an area that is increasingly shaping both the future of our industry and the strategic direction of the international “Havas” network. We are confident that his expertise will help us continue strengthening the position of “Havas Media” among Latvia’s top three agencies, while driving further growth through digitalization and AI-powered solutions. We also thank Ivo for the 12 years we worked together and for his contribution to the growth of “Havas” in Latvia,” says Šarūnas Mikelevičius, Chairman of the Board at “Havas Baltics”.

M. Kairovs brings more than 10 years of experience in managing digital communications and media planning agencies. Most recently, he led the e-commerce platform “Price Cloud”. Prior to that, he spent several years heading the media agency “Dentsu X Latvia”.

“I’m excited to join one of the leading media agency groups in the region, where a strong and experienced team is already in place. What stood out to me throughout the process was the group’s ambition, its pace, and its clear direction towards innovation, technology, and AI-driven development — all of which strongly align with how I see the future of the industry,” says Mārtiņš Kairovs, the newly appointed Country Manager of „Havas“ Latvia.

According to M. Kairovs, his priority will be to further strengthen the existing teams and encourage closer collaboration across agencies.

“My mission is to continue building on the strong foundations already in place, strengthen cooperation across teams, and create even greater value for our clients. I see significant potential in the synergy between media, creativity, and strategy,” he says.

The “Havas” agency’s clients include brands such as “Lidl”, “K-Senukai”, LMT, and others.

„Havas“ is part of the integrated communications group „Havas Baltics “, which employs more than 200 specialists.

Founded in Paris in 1835, „Havas“ is one of the world’s largest communications groups. Last year, the group generated nearly EUR 2.9 billion in revenue and today employs more than 23,000 people across more than 100 countries worldwide.
