According to the data of Latvia’s Central Statistical Bureau (CSB), at the beginning of 2016, 44 per cent of the population had made at least one online purchase during the year, with the respective indicator having grown by 6 percentage points since the corresponding period of 2015.
At the beginning of 2016, at least one online purchase during the year had been made by 45 per cent of women and 44 per cent of men. Over the past 10 years, the share of the population carrying out online purchases has increased from 8 per cent in 2006 to 44 per cent in 2016.
