VILNIUS – Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda on Monday invited Dutch companies leaving Russia because of its continued invasion of Ukraine to set up in Lithuania.

"Currently, Lithuania could be a good place for Dutch companies leaving Russia to continue their operation in this part of Europe. I believe that Dutch companies will hear this invitation and accept it," Nauseda told a pres conference in Vilnius after his meeting with visiting Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

The Netherlands is one of Lithuania's most important and largest economic partners, the president said.

"We discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in the economic and financial spheres," Nauseda said.
