NATO’s Lithuanian battalion under local lockdown after coronavirus outbreak

An undisclosed number of coronavirus cases were found on March 23 within the NATO battalion in Lithuania and the unit has been placed under lockdown. The Germany-led NATO Enhanced Forward Presence Battlegroup has been stationed in Lithuania since February, 2017 and it was deployed in response to Russia's aggression against Ukraine and its military activity in the region.
