Natl Library of Estonia registers over 1,700 e-books in 2022

TALLINN - In the Estonian National Bibliography Database, the total number of published works grew by 6,116 last year, of which 1,766 were registered as e-books.

The total number of works in the Estonian National Bibliography Database exceeded the 300,000 mark last year, the National Library of Estonia said on Thursday.

"As at the end of 2022, there were altogether 300,474 works in the Estonian National Bibliography Database. Compared with previous years, the database grew at an average pace of 400 works per month," head of the collection development centre at the National Library Kairi Felt said.

In Estonia, the maintenance of the National Bibliography is the responsibility of the National Library of Estonia and the task stems from the Legal Deposit Copy Act and National Library of Estonia Act.
